Copilot is perfectly integrated into Power Apps and certainly there will be other interesting updates in the future.
There are 2 functions that bring an advantage in app design:
- Generate Power Fx Formulas
- Explain Existing Formulas
Generate Power Fx Formulas:
If you have never tried this feature, now is the time to do so!
Imagine you want to create a label that shows the current date and time, and you don’t know how to do it.
Choose a Text Label and position yourself on the Formula Bar.
You will see “Create a formula” which allows you to enter a prompt in natural language. Let’s try with “Show today date and time”.
Once the response is generated, click on Apply and…
Explain Existing Formulas:
Conversely, in situations where we are collaborating with another author or need to modify an existing app, this feature gives us a big boost in understanding what that particular formula does.
