I would say “Spectacular debut,” at times even bewildering. At the exact same moment OpenAI releases GPT-5, Microsoft incorporates the new model directly into the Power Platform suite… all of this is almost too much, even for me.
GPT-5 is here: Artificial intelligence enters the core of daily work
Artificial intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept: it has become an operational tool, integrated into business processes and the platforms we use every day. With the launch of GPT-5, OpenAI has redefined the rules of the game. But the real revolution is its direct integration into Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio, where AI is not just an assistant, but a true digital colleague.
With the arrival of GPT-5, Microsoft has updated Copilot to offer more contextual responses, smoother interactions, and a deeper understanding of user needs. In Word, GPT-5 can generate documents from simple prompts. In Excel, it analyzes data and proposes insights. In Outlook, it drafts professional emails in seconds. In Teams, it summarizes meetings and suggests actions.
And with Copilot Studio, companies can create customized solutions, integrating GPT-5 into their own workflows, chatbots, and bespoke automations.
Certainly, what impressed me most is that in Copilot Studio we can now choose GPT-5 Auto: the agent will use GPT-5’s real-time router to select the right model—either the high-performance GPT-5 model or the deep reasoning model—allowing the agent to autonomously find the right balance between speed and planning.
Prompt Creation
From today, various AI models will also be available during the creation of custom prompt tools.
With longer context support and better understanding of documents, custom prompts using the high-productivity model will provide natural and context-aware responses with faster response times. Utilizing the multi-step logic of GPT-5’s deep reasoning model, it is possible to complete complex tasks such as planning and analysis with greater precision.
From language model to productivity platform
GPT-5 represents a radical evolution compared to its predecessors. This means that artificial intelligence is no longer an external app, but an internal component of our daily activities.
